52 Weeks of Grateful: Week Eight

Apparently the summer is over, guys! What do you think about that? I have to say I wish I went to the beach more often, but other than that it doesn’t really bother me. I love cooler weather – scarves, boots, warm drinks, bring it all on!!!

How was your week? Anything exciting happened?

This week I’m grateful for:

  • Friendly Customer Service – I love being served by a friendly sales assistant who will acknowledge me and be nice. I had some wonderful people serving me this week and it’s so nice to see that they are happy enjoying their jobs. It makes the experience much more pleasant and I’m sure their day goes by faster, too. I’m also grateful for the wonderful cheery bus drivers! I don’t know what it is, but somehow when you are greeted by a friendly face in the morning, you know you will have a good day J

Do you share my views on this? What are you grateful for this week?

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you very very much for stopping by my blog!

  2. Cant agree more. Even when u hate mondays so much, just a smile from a colleague that you hardly talk to will make a difference in ur day :)

I definitely enjoy shopping more whenever there is good customer service. That will keep me coming as a customer even to do a quick browse. Don't you think?

    1. I definitely agree!!! I don't want to go back to stores that have poor customer service, but love going back to those where staff are nice and friendly!

  4. I love stopping by, Ms Jelena. You have such a spark about you, you really do.

Customer Service s a passion of mine. So easy to get it right and it makes such a difference. So many companies don't seem to get that! x

  5. I definitely appreciate good customer service, & only wish it occurred more! Here in Vancouver I've unfortunately found that the majority of shops around have quite snobby sales girls & it definitely makes you feel uncomfortable; as well as disheartens your shopping mood! When I find a good sales associate I make sure to let them know how much I appreciate it & like to let their management know as well!

    1. Same thing in Australia, Shawna! It's becoming harder and harder to find good customer service here, but when I do, I always let their management know or email the head office with my praises :)

  9. I'm really surprised that Malia says Customer Service is great here in Australia, I would love to visit the shops she does. Its so awful, its either over the top and fake or non existant. I worked in retail for 6 years and I have always gone above and beyond to help, its what the job is all about. I think alot of brands nowadays are all about figures and percentages and actually need to spend a lot more time and money on training with sales assistants. I certainly make a point not to re-visit stores where I have received poor service!

    1. I agree!!! Good customer service is so hard to find! I too worked in retail for over five years and always made sure to offer great customer service even when I wasn't feeling up to it - it was my job and I was getting paid for it.

From what I've seen, it looks like they hire new people and get them on the floor right away without training them.

I also make a point of not returning to the stores with poor service.

I'm not sure if non existent or over the top service is worse - both are so uncomfortable!
